Privacy and personal data

GenaNova respects your privacy. Personal data is not used for advertising, commercial profiling or newsletters. The website does collect limited, privacy-conscious visitor statistics as explained below.

When you contact GenaNova

If you contact GenaNova through the contact form or by email, GenaNova processes the information you provide, such as your name, email address, optional organisation, the subject of your enquiry and your message. This information is used solely to answer your enquiry, correspond with you and, where relevant, take steps concerning a possible agreement.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, or GenaNova’s legitimate interest in being able to answer and manage correspondence.

Retention

Correspondence is kept no longer than necessary for handling and following up your enquiry and is normally deleted no later than two years after the last substantive contact. If the correspondence results in an agreement, data that forms part of the business administration may be retained for as long as required by law.

Service providers and external links

GenaNova does not sell your data. The website host and email provider may process limited technical or contact data only insofar as necessary to provide and secure their services. Links to social media, OpenSea and Objkt lead to external websites with their own privacy policies.

Website statistics

To understand how the website is used and improve its content, GenaNova records page views, daily unique visitors, visited and landing pages, language, broad traffic source, validated campaign labels, selected buttons or outbound links and a broad device category. No advertising cookies are placed.

For counting daily unique visitors, the server briefly uses the IP address and a limited browser-family value to create a pseudonymous daily identifier. The raw IP address and full user-agent are not stored. The identifier changes every day, is not shown in the statistics dashboard and is not used to follow visitors across other websites. Statistical records are deleted after 90 days. The legal basis is GenaNova’s legitimate interest in understanding and improving its own website while limiting the impact on visitors’ privacy.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict its processing or object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Contact gena@genanova.art to exercise a privacy right or ask a question.
